1965 Buddy L, Ford Country Squire Wagon in Original Box
Absolutely perfect mint in box example of Buddy L's popular Ford Country Squire Wagon. Purchased from the original owner who never opened the box. It had been sealed, but was opened by the auction house just prior to its sale. Nothing has been repainted, touched up, repaired, or replaced. The box grades an incredible near mint and comes with its original insert. This version was produced for only one year. Although it has no Ford logo, this particular vehicle was one of the most "elegant" station wagons produced by Buddy L. The body is all metal and painted with brilliant red enamel and fold-down tailgate. The silver roof rack is die cast metal. The twin bench seat interior, rear deck and steering wheel are plastic. The front windshield and rear side windows are clear plastic. The side moldings are plastic with wood-looking decals. It has plastic chrome plated wrap around front and rear bumpers (with trailer hitch), inset grille with headlights, and separate tail lights. The heavy tread wheels and whitewall tires are vinyl on metal axles and have raised embossed metal centers. It rolls along effortlessly when pushed. The green and white box was printed with a black image of the wagon and vehicle name on both endflaps. Note the catalog number was misprinted as "0305" when it should read "5305". It has it's original white plain cardboard insert with die cut wheel holes. Size: 15".
